Continuing to Be a Pal

My Pal Jerry is a retiree, who we have been following since before our official aftercare program even began! He raced for Wasabi Ventures Stables from September 2017 through October 2018. He transitioned into off-track life with Akindale Horse Rescue.

Over the past few years, Jessie and Jerry have been a team. Jessie shared the following update on this great guy:

My Pal Jerry continues to be indeed just that. He is a friend to everyone he meets. He has been continuing to compete quite successfully in eventing at training level. He won his last competition at Poplar Place in Hamilton, Georgia. I see a potential move up to modified on the horizon.

Not only has Jerry been a rockstar at competitions, where he tries with all of his heart and gives 100%, he also is your best friend at the end of the day. Thus, the adorable, athletic and flashy little red horse continues to own the nickname as the “Hornless Unicorn”.

Jerry is a longtime fan favorite, both at Wasabi Aftercare and Stables. In his racing career with WVS he earned one win, as well as hit the board six additional times. At WAF, every year Jessie provides an update with terrific details about Jerry’s life in and out of competitions.
