OTTB Madness 2026

Yes, March Madness is in the air, but for us it is slightly different. Welcome to OTTB Madness 2026! Featuring Thoroughbreds instead of college basketball teams, it’s sure to be fun for all who are equine enthusiasts.

For our third annual OTTB Madness, we have chosen 16 of the retired Thoroughbred racehorses that Wasabi Aftercare Fund follows. All of these horse were bred and/or raced by Wasabi Ventures Stables. These 16 horses will “compete” in a four-round tournament to see who earns the title of champion!*

  • March 19th-22nd
• Round 2- Elite 8
  • March 26th-29th
• Round 3- Final 4
  • April 4th
• Round 4- OTTB Championship

Voting will take place via an online form. On the starting day of each round, the ballot will go live at 7 am ET and will close at 9 pm ET on the ending day. We will feature the off-track Thoroughbred champion on our social media pages and will send him or her a bag of horse cookies.

New this year! One participant, who votes in all four rounds, will be chosen randomly and will win a Wasabi Aftercare hoodie.
