Board Changes Announced for The Horse Fund
Moving into our third full year, we are implementing a number of changes to our board of directors.
Board Changes
Jordyn Egan and Tom Erisman are stepping down from The Horse Fund board of directors. After serving as our board secretary for the first two and a half years, Jordyn Egan is stepping down from her role, both as secretary and as a board member.
Tom Erisman became a member of the board in December of 2021. Serving in an at-large role, he was key in the set up of our bookkeeping processes.
George Adams, who joined the board in May 2021 and served as the first vice president, will continue to serve on the board. However, he will be moving to the role of secretary. George’s equine knowledge and connections continue to be a great asset for The Horse Fund.
Jen Roytz will step into the role of board vice president. She joined our board in December 2021 as an at-large member. Jen’s connections and experiences in the world of Thoroughbreds (both on- and off-track) continue to be a benefit to our board.
With two board members exiting, we are pleased to announce the addition of two new board members.
Jessica Paquette and Brit Vegas are joining the board after being nominated at our January 2024 meeting. Each offers a unique set of skills that are highly valuable to The Horse Fund. Jess is the full-time track announcer at Parx Racing. Brit is a professional trainer, who owns and operates Royal Fox Stables. Both Jess and Brit have spent much time in the world of Thoroughbreds and will provide valuable insights to the board.
We are thankful for the time and energy that Jordyn and Tom brought to the board and look forward to the new synergy this board will have.
