Beverly Strauss of Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue

In the latest episode of this series, I spoke with Beverly Strauss, the co-founder of Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue (MAHR). This Maryland-based charitable organization is accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and has been assisting with aftercare for over 20 years.

Bev and I talked about the origin of MAHR, how much they’ve grown, and some of the wonderful adoption stories they’ve facilitated over the years. Additionally, Bev welcomes people to make an appointment to visit their farm in Warwick. Having done this last fall, I wholeheartedly endorse a visit. The farm and the horses are amazing.
